Will ADT buy Sunpro?

ADT will acquire Sunpro for roughly $825 million, including debt, in a combination of $160 million in cash and 77.8 million shares of ADT stock covering the rest. Sunpro's chief executive, Marc Jones, and the rest of the firm's management team will join ADT to run a new division labeled ADT Solar.

When does ADT pay a dividend?

The dividend will be payable on April 4, 2024, to shareholders of record at the close of business on March 14, 2024; the ex-dividend date is March 13, 2024. Additionally, the board also authorized a new $350 million share repurchase program. ADT announces exit from residential solar business, focuses on core security and smart home operations.

Why did ADT leave solar?

“The decision to exit solar operations was made after careful deliberation, and we expect this strategic action to drive substantial operational and financial benefits to ADT,” said ADT Chairman, President and CEO, Jim DeVries. “We want to acknowledge and thank our employees, partners, and customers as we work through this transition.”
